3:05 p.m.: It's time to gas up the old blue Saturn and hit the road again to cover some Big 12 football.
This will be my 14th season of traveling the highways to bring our loyal readers coverage of games that affect the races in the Big 12 North and South Divisions, which means they are important for Nebraska fans to keep track of, too.
I think we've developed a strong, significant area of coverage that we've heard a lot of great feedback on. We will continue to monitor this league closely for details that will have a direct effect on how the Huskers fit into the picture.
Saturday, I'll be in Manhattan, Kan., to watch UCLA play Kansas State, and see two old coaching acquaintances -- RIck Neuheisel and Bill Snyder.
Much of my coverage focus this season will be on K-State, Texas and Missouri. But if all goes well, I will have seen in person every other Big 12 school play by Oct. 9.
