EVANSTON, Ill. — The No. 39 Nebraska women's tennis team topped No. 24 Arkansas 5-2 Saturday, advancing to the championship game of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend tournament.
The Huskers swept the Razorbacks in doubles play before winning four of six singles matches. Mary Weatherholt won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for NU, and team with Patricia Veresova to win at No. 1 doubles.
Nebraska faces tournament host Northwestern in the final Sunday, with the advancing to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in February.
