What to watch

A new movie

Albert Nobbs (R) Glenn Close and Janet McTeer give arresting, contrasting performances as two women in 1890s Ireland who pose as men so they can get good jobs. While Close's character embodies fear and repressed emotion, McTeer's is the opposite. Excellent period detail, strong supporting cast. Some sexuality, brief nudity; okay for older teens. 3 stars.

Josie Loza: 10 must-see summer movies
If there's one film I'm excited for this summer, it's Disney Pixar's "Brave." The 3-D film is about a fiery, red-head princess named Merida. She's a headstrong girl born of a royal family in the Highlands of Scotland. She's not a hoity-toity girl but a warrior princess. "Oh, yeah!" my 4-year-old Alejandra will shout at my laptop screen. We've watched the movie trailer on YouTube about a dozen times. The film doesn't release until June 22. So, we've been busy at home pretending we're rebels alongside Merida. Merida's storyline: She rebels against her parents' efforts to marry her off, preferring to master the art of archery. Alejandra's storyline: Boys are gross. Girls rock. Oh, yeah! And she's trying to master the art of archery. What can I say? My girl has an imagination. Make sure you click the headline to see the World-Herald's Top 10 summer movie list.
